Hoptoad collects errors generated by other web applications, and aggregates the results for developer review.

The application has a “dupe detection” mechanism, so developers will only receive an email once when an errors occurs — rather than getting buried under an error email avalanche.

The service also performs an “auto resolve” action on each application deployment — that way developers can focus on the problems that exist today, not the ones from last month.

    In addition to solving the email inbox clutter problem that other error notifiers have, Hoptoad offers an RSS feed of error activity, so errors can be monitored using feed readers.

Hoptoad in your datacenter

From time to time we are contacted by customers who have concerns about data privacy and ownership, security, performance, etc — most of which stem from the issue of trust around a hosted service like Hoptoad. We are pleased to offer a solution for these scenarios.

With a self-hosted Hoptoad plan, you will receive a full copy of the source code, and permission to host your own Hoptoad installation for as many of your own applications as you like. You can’t redistribute the code, but there are no limits on users, projects, bandwidth or error rate. And of course, since you host the application behind your own firewall and in your own datacenter, your hosted Hoptoad installation will enjoy the same first class IT support that your team provides to your own applications.
